Launch of Humanome Research Data Boot Camp

The Humanome Research Institute, headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has officially announced the launch of its new training program called Humanome RDBC (Humanome Research Data Boot Camp) aimed at life science researchers. Starting from September 1, 2026, this comprehensive program will offer an in-depth learning experience to equip researchers with essential skills in Python programming, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs).

Humanome RDBC consists of six in-person sessions, each lasting two hours. The hands-on approach is designed to cater to beginners, allowing participants to gradually learn the fundamentals of Python and machine learning as well as coding and analysis of tabular data using LLMs.

Importantly, the training program qualifies for the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's human resource development subsidy, which can alleviate the financial burden for small and medium-sized enterprises by covering up to 75% of training costs and providing compensation of 1,000 yen per hour for attendance. However, this subsidy is only available for this fiscal year, urging interested parties to act swiftly.
