NHN Group Empowers New Graduates through Collaborative Training in South Korea
In a significant initiative to foster international collaboration and skill development, NHN Group recently conducted a joint training program for new graduates from its four affiliated companies in South Korea. This program took place at NHN's headquarters, 'Play Museum', from April 14 to 17, 2026, involving 48 new graduates from Japan and South Korea.
This training aimed to deepen the mutual understanding among the participants while establishing a foundation for future collaborations. This year marked the second edition of the program, which expanded its scope to include new graduates from the game and technology sectors, particularly those involved in cloud services.
The joint training blended online and offline formats, beginning with virtual exchanges on April 8 and 10, followed by face-to-face interactions at the South Korean headquarters starting April 14. This hybrid approach allowed graduates to engage in a meaningful way, learning about the distinct market environments and business characteristics of both countries.
Participants had the opportunity to attend a 'Leader Message' session, where they listened to NHN's key leaders discuss the company's vision and global strategies. Additionally, they toured the game development studios and the NHN Cloud Data Center (NCC), gaining deeper insights into both the business and technical aspects of the company.
Furthermore, special lectures by internal instructors equipped them with practical know-how to enhance their expertise as global professionals. A notable highlight of this year's training was the group work focused on 'collaboration using AI tools.' Teams tackled various challenges leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI.
- - Game Team: Worked on creating storyboards and implementing web prototypes using AI.
- - Cloud Team: Designed and demonstrated a service incorporating cloud functionalities.
Aside from structured training, participants embarked on an 'Insight Tour' in Seoul's vibrant Seongsu-dong area, which not only enriched their understanding of local trends but also involved team missions to boost collaboration among graduates.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. One new graduate from NHN Japan expressed, "It was a valuable experience to learn the essence of collaboration in a different cultural context. I aspire to combine the strengths of both countries and grow into a professional capable of creating synergies on a global stage."
In light of this successful endeavor, NHN Group is committed to enhancing its training programs for new graduates and all employees to cultivate an environment conducive to personal and professional growth.
