Nurseis Wins Grand Prize at Passion Leaders AWARD 2025

Nurseis Triumphs at Passion Leaders Award 2025

On September 10, 2025, Nurseis Inc. announced a remarkable victory, having secured the prestigious Grand Prize at the Passion Leaders AWARD 2025. This event, backed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry of Japan, was hosted by the Passion Leaders Association, one of the largest networking organizations for business leaders in Japan, featuring a staggering 257 companies competing for recognition.

A Grand Gathering of Innovators

The award ceremony attracted around 600 business leaders, investors, and media representatives, all eager to witness the intense business pitches from the 16 finalists who made it to the stage. The atmosphere was electric as they showcased their innovations and business models aimed at addressing key challenges in various sectors.

Tackling Nursing Shortages in Japan

Nurseis is on a mission to resolve one of Japan’s most pressing healthcare issues: the shortage of nurses. There are approximately 500,000 potential nurses in Japan who are currently not in practice, mainly due to caregiving responsibilities. Meanwhile, hospitals are grappling with skyrocketing recruitment costs and a shortage of medical personnel. To bridge this gap, Nurseis has developed a unique app, the Nurseis Job App, which allows nurses to work on a day-to-day basis, offering flexibility while providing hospitals with immediate staffing solutions.

The Strength of Nurseis’ Services

1. Integrated Calendar Application: Nurseis has launched a calendar app specifically for nurses, designed to aid in scheduling and job matching. This app has surpassed 10,000 downloads and establishes a seamless connection between users' schedules and available job opportunities.
2. Advanced Filtering Features: Users can refine job searches based on specialties, specific competencies, and even equipment proficiency, thereby minimizing uncertainties for both nurses and hospitals and ensuring a higher degree of matching accuracy.
3. Cost Efficiency for Hospitals: Nurseis eliminates recruitment fees typically associated with directly hired staff. Hospitals that previously employed around 30 nurses a year can anticipate a 33% reduction in hiring costs upon adopting Nurseis’ services.

Recognition from Leading Industry Figures

Notable judges, including top executives from SBI Holdings and Rakuten Group, evaluated the participating companies. Throughout the judging process, Nurseis garnered significant attention, with judges expressing interest in further investment and collaboration, resulting in five funding inquiries during the event.
