On June 4, 2026, the ReVIBES Project, a collaboration between Toei Video Co., Ltd. and TANGLE, announced the successful auction of two collaborative artworks between the late Buichi Terasawa's iconic work, "COBRA," and the collage artist Kosuke Kawamura. This event, conducted with the support of SBI Art Auction Inc., was a significant step in merging classic intellectual properties (IPs) with contemporary art.

The auction showcased an exhibition featuring various works by Terasawa and a display of Kawamura's innovative pieces. This collage masterfully incorporates a multitude of characters from COBRA, utilizing a metal canvas with a mirror finish in the hair segment to create a dynamic visual effect that changes with the viewer’s angle.

2. COBRA x Kosuke Kawamura - No.002 SHREDDER (Edition 1/3)
Sold for: 2,100,000 yen
This piece features layered printing on aluminum canvas and acrylic, intricately showcasing intentional discrepancies inherent in shredder art, and creating a three-dimensional effect by hovering acrylic panels above the main artwork.

Both pieces were treasured for their innovative approaches that intertwine traditional IP with modern artistic techniques and create a dialogue between the past and present.
