PlanTio Unveils Latest Designs for Earth Saver Farm at 2027 International Horticultural Expo

PlanTio's Vision for Sustainable Agriculture

PlanTio Inc., a social impact startup focused on democratizing agriculture and food access, recently presented the latest designs for their exhibition booth, "Earth Saver Farm," at the upcoming 2027 International Horticultural Expo (GREEN×EXPO 2027). The unveiling took place during the conclusion of the Tokyo JC Nature Positive Tour, where PlanTio's CEO, Takayoshi Serizawa, shared insights into their mission and the exciting future ahead.

Exciting Developments at the Tokyo JC Nature Positive Tour

Held at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center on July 11, 2026, the event celebrated the achievements of children who engaged in outdoor learning activities, including observations in Shinjuku Gyoen and crafting bamboo planters in Otemachi. These experiences allowed them to connect with nature and express their genuine hopes for the future. During the presentation, the children shared their heartfelt insights, having learned the importance of environmental conservation through hands-on activities.

A highlight of the event was the reveal of the latest visual concepts for the "Earth Saver Farm," which aims to incorporate educational and interactive elements into the exhibition at the GREEN×EXPO 2027. This initiative, in collaboration with CLASS EARTH Inc., emphasizes the need for a participatory approach to agriculture and food education, encouraging children to take active roles in sustainability efforts.

The Role of Children in Shaping a Sustainable Future

The core of the "Earth Saver Farm" concept is to transform the learning process into sustainable action. This innovative space will allow children to understand the journey from planting seeds to harvesting crops, thereby connecting agriculture to food consumption. Through the exhibit, they will not only witness the beauty of nature but also participate in hands-on activities, reinforcing that anyone can contribute to these efforts.

To further this initiative, the design incorporates a community farm concept where children collaboratively create a rooftop garden and grow native Japanese grapes, with the idea that they will one day produce wine to share with their peers.

Esteemed members of the community, including the Director of the Japan Pavilion for the Expo, Mr. Hoshikiyo, expressed their enthusiasm for involving children as key figures in demonstrating sustainable practices and nature positivity. Additionally, a warm video message from Japan International Association’s Vice Director, Dr. Tomokiyo Tanaka, encouraged the youth to embrace their challenges and promote environmental stewardship.

Innovative Learning Tools and Child Attendant Uniforms

In line with promoting cutting-edge agricultural education, the event saw the introduction of an AI-powered sensor called grow CONNECT, designed to assist children in taking care of plants. By analyzing growth data, this system aims to foster a deeper understanding of traditional vegetables, addressing biodiversity concerns while enhancing the educational experience.

Moreover, the unveiling included the official child attendant uniforms, worn during the Expo. These uniforms are crafted from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, ensuring both comfort and environmental responsibility. The attention to detail even extends to the top button, featuring a unique design inspired by the animated series "The Earth’s Latteure," represented by voice actor Rei Taniguchi, who provided special encouragement to the young attendants, inspiring them to share their messages on a global stage.

Engage with Earth Saver Family English Program

Children involved in the "Earth Saver Family English (EFE)" program will proudly wear these uniforms, empowering them to communicate the importance of sustainability and environmental education at the 2027 International Horticultural Expo. This initiative not only enhances their linguistic skills but also instills a deep sense of responsibility and purpose.

PlanTio’s comprehensive vision of creating a democratic and inclusive agricultural infrastructure embodies the principle that food can be grown anywhere, even in urban settings. They are paving the way for future generations to understand and participate in agriculture as a vital part of their community.

With designs that blend artistic vision and practical application, PlanTio and CLASS EARTH are leading the charge towards a sustainable future, where children can grow, learn, and nurture the environment for years to come.
