JAL Expands Cargo Operations with KALITTA Airlines
Japan Airlines (JAL) recently announced an increase in the code share frequency of its cargo flights operated in partnership with KALITTA Airlines. Starting from December 10, 2025, JAL will enhance its operations on the Narita-Chicago route, increasing the frequency to five flights a week.
This enhancement comes as a result of the code share agreement signed in May 2025, which included the addition of large cargo aircraft to JAL's air freight transportation network. This strategic move is aimed at meeting the growing demand for freight services between Asia and North America, which has seen significant growth in recent years. The increased frequency will enable JAL to strengthen its air cargo network, providing more flexible and reliable services to its customers.
In its commitment to expanding the air transportation network, JAL aims to leverage the strengths of JALCARGO, which include high-quality cargo handling. This focus is especially crucial for high-value cargo such as high-tech products, chemicals, and express shipments. By meeting these demands, JAL is not only contributing to solving social issues but also securing sustainable growth as an integral part of the logistics infrastructure.
