GRUPPO MAIP Joins the ReGenesis Protocol for Sustainable Luxury Manufacturing

The Gruppo MAIP is proud to announce its participation in the innovative ReGenesis™ Protocol, developed by Studio Lisa Tavazzani. This groundbreaking system is set to revolutionize how luxury goods are managed, focusing particularly on unsold inventory and production waste, transforming them into valuable resources through advanced upcycling methods.

The ReGenesis™ system establishes a bespoke recycling solution tailored to each brand, encompassing the recovery, selection, and regeneration of materials. This results in the creation of new, high-quality raw materials that can be reintegrated into production processes. By fostering a closed-loop system, this structured, sustainable approach contributes to a circular economy, effectively reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.

Together with Eastman and Studio Lisa Tavazzani, Gruppo MAIP is proud to introduce new compounds and sheets made from recycled industrial waste, along with Eastman Acetate Renew. This fully sustainable acetate behaves just as effectively as traditional acetate, making it ideal for premium eyewear and accessories produced via injection molding and sheet production. This partnership ensures that high-quality products are sourced from responsible and transparent supply chains that adhere to the highest international environmental, social, and quality standards.

"We are extremely excited about this collaboration, which emphasizes our commitment to transforming waste into sustainable high-performance materials," said Eligio Martini, CEO of Gruppo MAIP. "By amalgamating our expertise in advanced composites with our partners' groundbreaking efforts, we improve material quality while providing a fully traceable, environmentally-friendly solution that aligns with luxury and sustainability values."

Rachel Oakley, Eyewear Segment Leader at Eastman, added, "At Eastman, we are dedicated to developing sustainable solutions for the eyewear industry. The collaboration with Gruppo MAIP and Studio Lisa Tavazzani not only reduces waste but also ensures the creation of high-quality products that are essential to the luxury market, demonstrating that sustainability can go hand in hand with excellence."

Many companies today face the challenge of disposing of unsold items and managing surplus raw materials. The ReGenesis™ Protocol presents a tangible solution by providing reliable recycling options for businesses and luxury brands through collaborations with suppliers and industry stakeholders. Every step in the supply chain is meticulously monitored to guarantee transparency and trust, further enhanced by blockchain technology.

This innovation not only meets the sustainability requirements of luxury brands but also positions recycling as a strategic tool for improving brand reputation and global competitiveness. The partnership goes beyond mere material recovery, elevating waste into high-quality resources.

Lisa Tavazzani stated, "With ReGenesis, we are redefining how luxury brands approach sustainability by turning high-quality waste into traceable materials. This collaboration embodies our commitment to transparency, environmental responsibility, and innovation, providing brands with sustainable resources without compromising on quality. We believe this is the future of luxury."
