Volunteer Opportunity: Tree Thinning at Wakayama Forest Park

Are you looking for a fulfilling way to spend time outdoors while contributing to the environment? Join us at the Wakayama Forest Park for a unique tree thinning experience! On February 22, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, participants of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, are invited to help with this important ecological activity.

Overview of the Event

Tree thinning is crucial for maintaining the health of our forests. By participating in this project, volunteers will help improve the growth of trees and the overall ecosystem of the park. It's a great way to learn about forestry while getting hands-on experience and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring their families; however, children under elementary school age must be accompanied by an adult.

As a small thank you for joining us, each volunteer will receive a commemorative flower seedling to take home! This is not just an environmental contribution but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and your community.

Registration Details

If you're interested in participating, please fill out the application form provided on our website by February 11, 2024. Space is limited, with a maximum of 20 volunteers being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure to register early to secure your spot!

What to Bring

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, please wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work, including warm clothing, gloves, and sturdy hiking shoes. Preparing for the weather and conditions will help ensure everyone's safety and comfort during the event.
