Empowering Women: A Festival for Life and Work in Minato, Tokyo

Celebrating Women's Empowerment in Minato, Tokyo

On March 20, 2026, the Women’s Life & Work Festival took place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center in Minato, successfully gathering 220 participants. This event aimed at encouraging women to take concrete steps toward their ideals, focusing on the theme of 'money' as a fundamental aspect of our everyday lives.

A Purpose-Driven Experience

The festival was designed around the concept of motivating women to visualize the 'next step' toward transforming their dreams into reality. It emphasized critical financial topics like earning, spending, managing, and saving money—highlights of navigating a capitalist society. The event's structure was focused on not just theoretical knowledge but also actionable insights that could be immediately applied in participants' lives.

In total, 22 booths covered a wide range of topics including entrepreneurship, investments, side jobs, beauty, health, mental wellness, publishing support, and childcare services. Attendees were encouraged to interact directly with experts, allowing them to clarify their options in a hands-on manner.

Event Highlights

The festival unfolded between 1 PM and 5 PM, allowing participants to freely explore the booths. The event kicked off with welcoming remarks from the three founders of the Female Entrepreneur Association (FEA), setting a positive and engaging tone for the day.

Booths featured practical offerings ranging from investment strategies, entrepreneurial advice, self-publishing, mobile-related services, coffee tastings, ear acupuncture, massages, hair assessments, and even spaces for children. Many participants made the most of these offerings, with some completing the stamp rally that encouraged them to visit all booths.

Even as the event neared its conclusion, lively conversations continued, indicating a robust exchange of ideas and networks among attendees. This 'learning to dialogue' momentum illustrated the event's success.

Engaging Talks and Panels

The event featured insightful talks by prominent experts including Ryota Kodama from Kodama Tax Firm and Takuma Nitta, the founder of OSUSO, who explored various perspectives on financial themes that resonated deeply with the audience. Participants expressed their appreciation for the knowledge gained and the connections fostered.

Testimonials from Participants

Attendees provided positive feedback such as, "I was excited to meet faces I knew online in real life" and, "This event greatly expanded my network." Similarly, exhibitors reported success in establishing new business relationships.

Moreover, the organizers received interest in holding future events, highlighting the satisfaction and enthusiasm from both participants and exhibitors.

Reflections from the FEA Founders

The founders of FEA reflected on the event with gratitude for the growth it experienced over its three editions. Ai Toki, Rie Giir, and Mako Niyo noted the robust preparations that led to successful participation. They acknowledged the ongoing commitment to providing women with the resources and platforms needed for autonomy in their careers and lives.

Continued Support Beyond the Event

To ensure that the learning continues beyond the festival, FEA introduced a paid membership program aimed at fostering an environment where participants can share knowledge and support each other. As the landscape increasingly shifts toward owning media and making customer connections, FEA offers plans for bespoke website creation and promotional strategies to empower women entrepreneurs further.

Looking Ahead

The third edition of this event, backed by nearly a year of planning, demonstrated significant progress in scaling both its reach and content. With 220 attendees and numerous actionable interactions, the organizers are already excited about enhancing the event's value and practical applicability for next year's iteration.
