Taneja Tower Gains a New iMRI Surgical Suite
In a remarkable show of generosity, Dr. Judy Genshaft and her husband, Steven Greenbaum, have made a significant contribution to the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Foundation. Their $350,000 donation will be used to name the iMRI surgical suite within the soon-to-be-built Taneja Surgical, Neuroscience, and Transplant Tower. Dr. Genshaft, who previously served as the president of the University of South Florida, is a dedicated member of the TGH Foundation Board of Trustees. The donation stands as a tribute to Dr. Harry van Loveren, the distinguished chief of the TGH Neuroscience Institute, known for his exemplary dedication to patient care and innovative surgical techniques.
John Couris, the president, and CEO of Florida Health Sciences Center, emphasized the transformative impact of this donation, stating that it will elevate the world-class care provided at TGH. The hospital has consistently been recognized in the top tier for Neurology and Neurosurgery by U.S. News & World Report, marking its significance in the medical community.
