China Pavilion at Osaka 2025 Expo Receives Prestigious Gold Award for Excellence

On the evening of October 12, 2025, a momentous occasion highlighted the closing of the Expo 2025 Osaka: the China Pavilion earned the esteemed Gold Award from the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). Among 25 remarkable pavilions designed by various international participants, the China Pavilion stood out, marking the first Gold Award for the country at an overseas world expo. This recognition symbolizes a fresh narrative of China’s cultural and technological prowess, captivating audiences worldwide.

The Pavilion featured the theme "Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind and Nature – A Future Society for Green Development." At the heart of this innovative space, Unilumin showcased an array of multimedia solutions, including LED displays, projectors, and integrated multimedia systems. These technologies brilliantly highlighted the essence of Chinese wisdom by intertwining it with meta-psychological technology.

Attractions within the Pavilion included poetic chapters beautifully rendered through a synergy of LED displays, projection, and interactive radar experiences. Visitors were treated to an immersive journey that seamlessly transported them between time and nature, enhancing their experience within this unique space.

One of the Pavilion's standout features was the creation of a ‘Digital Cultural Gene Bank,’ where traditional Chinese elements such as ink wash, silk, and scenic landscapes were transformed into a digital language. This remarkable digital approach allowed for an adaptable integration of cultural elements throughout the exhibition. Complementing these visuals was an ambient light adjustment system, which harmonized the interactive LED visuals with the architectural space, creating a cohesive atmosphere.

International recognition poured in for the China Pavilion, with influential figures like Masayoshi Matsumoto, president of the Kansai Economic Federation, praising its showcase of historical culture and technological achievements. He underscored the Pavilion’s role as a catalyst for enhancing exchanges between Japan and China.

Since opening, the China Pavilion has welcomed nearly 2 million visitors, averaging more than 10,000 daily guests, establishing it as one of the most popular national pavilions at the Osaka World Expo. As a proud visual display partner, Unilumin has played an essential role in elevating the China Pavilion’s presentation on a global stage. Looking forward, Unilumin aims to further embrace LED and AI innovations, promoting its "Digitalized Metasight Lights up All Industries" initiative, using technology to narrate heartfelt and powerful Chinese stories.
