Over recent years, there has been a swift increase in demand for high-performance analytical and medical instruments. Specifically, smaller diameter and smoother internal capillary tubes have become a necessity. Nippon Kinzoku previously developed precision tubes using austenitic stainless steel, achieving an internal diameter of 0.50 mm with a surface roughness less than Ra 0.5 µm. With insights derived from this successful track record, the company has now advanced to producing tubes with even finer specifications— those with an internal diameter of 0.30 mm.

Capillary tubes play a vital role in modern analytical devices, such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC). These tubes connect the analysis column with high-pressure pumps and detectors, ensuring effective workflow in laboratories.
