Kevin Fox Steps Down as President of Autoliv Americas, Transition Plan Announced

Kevin Fox Steps Down: Transition at Autoliv Americas

In a significant leadership change, Kevin Fox, the President of Autoliv Americas, has announced his decision to resign from his position. The announcement was made by Autoliv, Inc., the global leader in automotive safety systems, highlighting the end of an era as Fox prepares to focus on personal pursuits after a notable 30-year career within the company.

A Legacy of Leadership

Kevin Fox has been a pillar of Autoliv’s operations since joining the company in 1996, taking the helm of the Americas division in June 2020. During his tenure, he has been instrumental in shaping the company's strategic direction, emphasizing the importance of safety and innovation in automotive technology. His leadership has seen significant developments in protective systems, including airbags and safety belts, that play a critical role in saving lives on the roads.

Mikael Bratt, President and CEO of Autoliv, expressed gratitude for Fox’s contributions, stating, “We sincerely thank Kevin for his 30 years of service to Autoliv, both in the United States and in Brazil. He has built a fantastic team, and his absence will surely be felt.”

Transition Plans Unveiled

Fox’s official resignation will take effect on August 31, 2026, but he will continue as an executive senior advisor to the CEO until February 28, 2027. This transition phase is designed to ensure continuity in the leadership of Autoliv Americas as the company initiates the search for Fox's successor. The company has already begun this process to find a qualified leader who can step into this pivotal role and maintain the momentum that Fox has established.

In the interim, Anthony Nellis, the current Executive Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, will assume the responsibilities of acting President of Autoliv Americas post-resignation. Nellis, who is actively involved in the Executive Management Team, is poised to guide the division effectively during this transitional period given his extensive experience within the company.

Expressions of Appreciation

In his farewell sentiment, Fox mentioned, “It has been my privilege to lead the Autoliv Americas division and team. I am proud to have served a significant part of my career at Autoliv, and it is with some sadness that I’ve made this decision. I have deep appreciation for what we have built together, and I wish the company continued success.”

Moving Forward

As Autoliv prepares for this leadership shift, the company’s mission remains steadfast: to challenge and redefine the standards of mobility safety. With operations spanning 25 countries, Autoliv is dedicated to innovation in the automotive safety field, having saved approximately 40,000 lives in 2025 alone. The successful recruitment of a new leader will be critical in continuing this legacy of safety and innovation.

As Kevin Fox embarks on the next chapter of his life, the entire Autoliv family wishes him nothing but the best in his future endeavours. The company, with its rich history and commitment to safety, is well-positioned for the future under new leadership.
