LA2050 Grants Challenge Invites Community Voting to Fund Local Solutions

LA2050 Grants Challenge: Empowering Angelenos to Drive Change

The LA2050 Grants Challenge has officially launched its public voting phase, inviting Angelenos to engage in a vital discussion about the community's most pressing issues. This initiative by the Goldhirsh Foundation aims to allocate funds to solutions that directly address the concerns of Los Angeles residents. Voting is open through April 22nd, allowing participants to express their priorities in a user-friendly manner at LA2050.org/vote. The voting process is designed to be inclusive, available in 12 different languages, ensuring every voice can be heard.

Understanding the Challenge

In the coming month, Angelenos will respond to five specific questions regarding local issues they deem most crucial. The insights gleaned from this voting process will pave the way for substantial grants awarded to non-profit entities, government agencies, and social enterprises focused on promoting change in Los Angeles County.

Tara Roth, President of the Goldhirsh Foundation, emphasizes the importance of citizen involvement in shaping the future.
