The production utilized a breathtaking array of local landmarks, offering a thrilling glimpse into this upcoming heist thriller set to captivate audiences when it releases later this year.

During an action-packed shoot spanning 13 days, the film's stars, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Rosamund Pike, brought their characters to life at renowned Abu Dhabi sites such as Yas Island, Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Sheikh Zayed Bridge, and the stunning Liwa Desert. The integration of these iconic settings into the film’s narrative not only enhances its visual allure but also showcases the rich cultural landscape of the UAE capital.

Among the locations featured are CLYMB and Ferrari World Yas Island, where exhilarating stunts and cinematic moments were captured. The film aims to immerse the global audience in the charm and vibrancy of Abu Dhabi through its cinematography.

The collaborative effort involved significant contributions from local talent, with 175 crew members including the esteemed Epic Films team engaging in the production. Additionally, six aspiring filmmakers from the UAE were granted internships on set, gaining invaluable insights and hands-on experience in a real-world film production environment, facilitated by the Creative Media Authority’s talent development program.

Matt Leonetti, president of physical production for Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, emphasized the unique appeal of filming in Abu Dhabi. He stated, “The Now You See Me films have always taken audiences on global adventures, and this film is no exception. Abu Dhabi’s iconic locations and incredible people will be part of what makes this film so enjoyable and memorable for worldwide audiences.” This sentiment is echoed by Mohamed Dobay, Acting General Director of the Creative Media Authority. He expressed pride in Abu Dhabi's strategic position as a hotspot for international film productions, citing the successful wrapping of the project in record time.

“Our collaboration with the Lionsgate team has been incredibly fruitful. They have benefited not only from our financial incentives through the Film Commission but also from the expertise of our local workforce, which is vital for the industry’s growth,” Mohamed Dobay noted. This partnership indicates a promising future for the UAE’s film sector, suggesting an uptrend in international productions setting their sights on Abu Dhabi.

Liam Findlay, CEO of Miral Destinations, highlighted Yas Island’s evolving identity as a premier destination for world-class films and entertainment.
