The 26th Annual Microsoft Scramble for Sight: A Commitment to Ending Blindness
The Foundation Fighting Blindness is proud to present the 26th Annual Microsoft Scramble for Sight, a distinguished golf tournament aimed at raising funds for crucial research to combat blinding diseases. Scheduled for July 21-22, 2026, at the beautiful Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado, this event is set to draw together golf enthusiasts, corporate sponsors, and advocates dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by visual impairments.
Since its inception in 2000, the Microsoft Scramble for Sight has raised over $4 million to propel the search for effective treatments and cures for blindness. Over the years, the funds generated have significantly contributed to more than 60 clinical trials focused on potential therapies for various blinding conditions.
The Sanctuary Golf Course, renowned for its exquisite design and its commitment to philanthropy, serves as an ideal backdrop for this charitable endeavor. Having aided numerous organizations in raising over $145 million, the course not only supports players with a stunning environment but also aligns with the Foundation’s mission of supporting groundbreaking research.
Participants can look forward to two days filled with exciting activities, including championship golf, networking opportunities, silent and live auctions, and uplifting testimonials from members of the Foundation Fighting Blindness community. A highlight of this year’s tournament will be a keynote address by Dr. Shannon Boye, who will share the latest advancements in retinal disease research, further illuminating the movement toward effective treatments and cures.
A unique feature of this event includes the chance for three fortunate bidders to join Madison Maidenberg, the Denver Chapter President and a popular contestant from Netflix’s “Love Is Blind” Season 9, for a round of golf at the Sanctuary Golf Course. This portion of the auction demonstrates the blend of entertainment and goodwill that defines the Scramble for Sight.
Scott Burt, Co-Chair of the Scramble for Sight and a Board Director at the Foundation, emphasizes the importance of unity in this mission: “For 26 years, Scramble for Sight has demonstrated what's possible when passionate supporters, corporate partners, and volunteers unite around a common purpose. Every golfer, sponsor, volunteer, and donor plays a vital role in bringing us closer to life-changing treatments and cures for blinding diseases.”
Among the sponsors participating in this year’s event are Microsoft as the title sponsor, with other contributions coming from RE/MAX (presenting sponsor) and various gold and silver sponsors including IBM, Softchoice, MAC Products, NinjaOne, and many more. These partnerships signify the collective commitment to restoring vision and advancing research that the Foundation Fighting Blindness stands for.
