Huawei Launches AI Education Center Solution
During the MWC Barcelona 2026, Huawei held a summit titled "Education + Artificial Intelligence: Embracing an Intelligent Future." This significant event featured the introduction of Huawei's AI Education Center (AIEC) solution specifically designed for elementary education. The aim of this initiative is to accelerate the proliferation and development of general education in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
Li Junfeng, Huawei's Vice President and General Director of the Global Public Sector Division, emphasized that the core of future AI education is to establish the "lowest threshold with the widest coverage." Acting as a "technology activator" and an "ecosystem creator," Huawei collaborates with customers and industry partners to develop innovative solutions tailored to the AI education landscape. Among these, the AIEC solution focuses on popularizing AI education at both primary and secondary levels, thus opening doors to a future filled with technological opportunities for all students.
Built on robust hardware infrastructure, service models, application platforms, and AI teaching and management systems, Huawei's AIEC solution offers systematic general education in the field of AI, featuring both experimental applications and learning materials suitable for students of all ages in primary education. This initiative provides students with key competencies vital for the future job market, laying a solid foundation for cultivating talent pivotal for national technological innovation and industrial modernization.
Currently, the AIEC solution is being implemented in Zhejiang Province, China. In partnership with CourseGrading, Huawei provides a comprehensive educational platform focused on AI, serving over 500 primary and secondary schools. The platform is equipped with AI computational power, extensive open-source models, over 10 practical AI projects, and more than 50 experimental tools and applications. In the future, it is expected to serve up to one million students.
At the summit, Huawei, in collaboration with Pui Kiu Middle School, launched a global demonstration project for its AI Education Platform (AIEC) solution. This event showcased practical applications of AI technology in secondary education, promoting innovative AI applications in learning environments and providing replicable and scalable models for global digital transformation.
