Special Event: Learn and Act for Endangered Animals
The Open House Group, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is excited to announce its upcoming event focused on endangered species, titled "Deliver Your Wishes! Let’s Learn and Protect Animals – Special Event." This engaging initiative is organized in collaboration with Tennoji Zoo, providing children with an opportunity to understand and connect with wildlife that is at risk of extinction.
Commitment to Environmental Conservation
Through various endeavors, the Open House Group actively promotes environmental conservation and animal protection. In 2024, we will continue to foster awareness through events scheduled in February and May at Tennoji Zoo, emphasizing knowledge about animals and a quiz on the SDGs related to wildlife. With many endangered species housed at Tennoji Zoo, this event aims to encourage attendees to reflect on their roles in environmental protection and animal conservation.
Special Features of the Event
Endangered Species Cards
To familiarize participants with endangered species, we have created original animal cards. Each card provides detailed information, including the reasons for the species' endangered status, its level of threat, habitat, and dietary habits. These cards will be distributed to children attending the event. After observing the animals firsthand, children will be encouraged to consider ways to help protect these species.
Moreover, attendees can participate in a lottery at the event, with winners given original acrylic keychains crafted from recycled acrylic panels, promoting upcycling and creativity.
Wishes for Wildlife
In line with the tradition of Tanabata, attendees will also have the opportunity to express their commitments to wildlife conservation. By writing down actions they are willing to take and new insights they gain, participants can attach their wishes on strips of paper (tanzaku) to bamboo stalks, promoting a tangible sense of personal responsibility towards preserving endangered species.
