Rain Expands Support for Solana, Tron, and Stellar to Enhance Card Program Offerings

Rain Expands Support for Solana, Tron, and Stellar

On May 29, 2025, Rain, the global stablecoin card issuance platform, announced its native support for Solana, Tron, and Stellar. This significant update is designed to enhance Rain's mission of creating a more accessible, programmable, and global financial infrastructure. The new integrations allow partners to efficiently launch compliant card programs and use stablecoins for various transactions, including consumer and B2B expenditures, cross-border payouts, and platform distributions.

As a unique Visa Principal Member, Rain enables its partners to deploy and manage programs across multiple blockchains simultaneously without relying on third-party banks or fragmented infrastructures. This functionality not only simplifies the issuance of globally accepted cards but also permits the seamless use of stablecoins in over 150 million locations that accept Visa.

Charles Yoo-Naut, CTO and co-founder of Rain, expressed the company's commitment to fostering a more open and efficient financial infrastructure. He emphasized that the addition of Solana, Tron, and Stellar support enables partners to run scalable, stablecoin-based card programs that enhance payment experiences globally.

Examples of New Collaborations

Two notable collaborations highlight Rain's new capabilities. Firstly, the Solana-based neobank app KAST has partnered with Rain to provide branded cards that allow users to spend stablecoins directly from their wallets. Thanks to Solana's fast and cost-effective infrastructure, KAST can deliver seamless real-time payment experiences to its growing global user base.

Secondly, Offramp, a Tron-based fintech platform, collaborates with Rain for its card program aimed at providing financial freedom to users worldwide. Offramp's strong presence in Latin America is bolstered by a Rain-issued Visa card, allowing users to utilize digital dollars wherever Visa is accepted, thus bridging the gap between on-chain assets and real-world usability.

The increased demand for seamless, stablecoin-linked spending options has prompted these enhancements, as platforms seek to broaden access to card functionalities across ecosystems. Rain already supports Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon, solidifying its position as a leader in the multi-chain card infrastructure space with native stablecoin support.

Rain recently raised $24.5 million in a Series A funding round, positioning itself for rapid growth and further partnerships. The recent announcement underscores Rain’s dedication to leveraging this capital to expand globally, support new partners, and meet the rising demand for programmable payment solutions in the marketplace.
