The 6th Zhijiang International Peace Culture Festival

From September 4 to 5, 2025, Zhijiang, a city nestled in China's Hunan Province, is set to host its 6th International Peace Culture Festival. This annual event has not only become a cultural cornerstone for the city but also a beacon of hope and peace globally. Known for its rich Dong ethnic culture and historical significance, Zhijiang has earned its place in the international spotlight as a city that promotes harmony.

Since first held in 2003, the festival has hosted numerous dignitaries and peace advocates, including over 80 national representatives and 300 veterans from the legendary Flying Tigers. Over the years, this festival has facilitated significant dialogues around peace, leading to 92 trade and economic agreements with partners from both local and international markets. Zhijiang's dedication to fostering friendships and alliances is evident as it proudly promotes its sister-city relationships with places like Grandcamp Maisy in France, Pinehurst in North Carolina, and Kirovsk in Russia. In recognition of its peace efforts, the United Nations designated Zhijiang as the 307th International City of Peace in 2021.
