Cove Communities' Generosity Shines in Its 4th Annual Cove's Got Talent Competition
Cove Communities, a leader in manufactured housing and RV resorts, recently concluded its 4th annual Cove's Got Talent competition, a charity event that has garnered widespread acclaim and support. Held on March 26 at Cypress Lakes Village in Lakeland, Florida, this year's event successfully raised over $100,000 for the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) organization. This significant achievement marks another milestone in Cove's continuing commitment to giving back to the community, especially to those who have served the nation.
The enthusiasm surrounding the competition was palpable as residents and guests from various Cove locations teamed up to host numerous fundraising activities in the lead-up to the finale. Events such as raffles, yard sales, pancake brunches, health fairs, and bake sales created an air of excitement and camaraderie, all aimed at supporting the DAV's noble mission of assisting disabled veterans and their families.
Encouraged by the community spirit, Cove Communities, led by its CEO Jim Goldman, made a substantial contribution of $55,000, pushing the total amount raised to an impressive $100,000. Goldman expressed his heartfelt gratitude, emphasizing the special bond between Cove and the veteran community. He remarked, “DAV is an important organization close to our hearts at Cove Communities. Many of our residents and guests are veterans, and events like Cove's Got Talent bring everyone together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.”
The funds raised through this initiative are earmarked to assist disabled veterans, their families, survivors, and caregivers, reinforcing DAV's commitment to serve without imposing any costs on veterans. Barry Jesinoski, DAV's National Adjutant and CEO, praised the efforts of Cove Communities, stating, “Thanks to the support of organizations like Cove Communities, DAV can continue keeping our promise to America's veterans by providing life-changing services at no cost.”
Over the last four years, Cove Communities has managed to accumulate more than $400,000 in donations for DAV, showcasing its unwavering dedication to supporting veterans. This ongoing support has not only fostered a sense of community among the participants but also highlighted the importance of recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices made by those who served in the armed forces.
