Hershey Company Welcomes New Leadership



In a bold move to strengthen its leadership team, The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) has announced significant appointments within its confection and salty snacks divisions. Andrew Archambault, previously of Keurig Dr Pepper, has been appointed as the President of U.S. Confection, while Veronica Villasenor, a long-time Hershey employee with over two decades of experience, steps in as President of Salty Snacks. Both leaders will officially take charge on February 3, 2025.

Leadership Changes


Archambault is expected to bring a wealth of experience to Hershey, having successfully led brands such as Dr Pepper® and Canada Dry® during his tenure at Keurig Dr Pepper. His approach focuses heavily on consumer engagement and market innovation. Michele Buck, the President and CEO of Hershey, stated, "Andrew is a proven executive who has transformed complex consumer brand portfolios through his deep commercial expertise and customer-centric approach." Archambault expressed his excitement about joining Hershey, referencing the company's iconic status and the opportunity to work with its talented team to drive growth in the confection division.

On the other hand, Villasenor, who was previously the Vice President of Salty Snacks, will continue her impressive career trajectory within Hershey. Her extensive knowledge across various business units positions her well to foster growth and innovation in the salty snacks sector. "I am honored to step into this new role and continue building our portfolio and capabilities to deliver accelerated growth with our Salty Snacks team," Villasenor remarked during the announcement.

Strategic Vision


Hershey aims to capitalize on its leading position in the snacking industry, emphasizing the importance of both the confection and salty divisions in its corporate strategy. Archambault will oversee iconic Hershey brands such as Hershey's, Reese's, and Jolly Rancher, while Villasenor's focus will be on enhancing the company's salty snacks offerings, which include products like SkinnyPop and Dot's Homestyle Pretzels. Their leadership is crucial as Hershey continues to adapt to consumer preferences and pursue innovation.

The announcement also highlighted the departure of Kristen Riggs, who leaves after two decades to explore new opportunities. Buck took a moment to thank Riggs for her significant contributions, especially in integrating recent acquisitions into Hershey's expanding salty snacks portfolio.
