Farmers and Merchants Trust Company Welcomes Tory Milazzo to Santa Barbara Office
In a strategic move to bolster its presence on California's Central Coast, Farmers and Merchants Trust Company (FMTC) has appointed Salvatore "Tory" Milazzo as senior vice president and trust and investment manager. FMTC, the state's oldest continuously operating trust company, aims to enhance its personalized service model by relocating its office to 33 East Carrillo Street in Santa Barbara, set to open in mid-July.
Over the past two decades, Milazzo has established himself as a knowledgeable figure in wealth management, holding significant positions, including his role as a senior portfolio manager at a prominent national bank. His commitment to the community is evident in his board memberships, particularly as chair of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Board and president of the St. Francis Foundation board. Milazzo's local roots and notable fiduciary expertise enhance FMTC’s promise of client-focused service, a hallmark of the institution since its founding in 1920.
A Commitment to Service and Community
Christine Walker-Bowman, FMTC's executive vice president and chief operating officer, expressed her enthusiasm regarding Milazzo’s appointment, emphasizing the alignment of his client-first mindset with FMTC’s core values of integrity and service. "Tory embodies the commitment to relationship-driven service that has defined our company,” she stated. “His extensive experience and strong ties to the community will be instrumental as we grow our trust and wealth management practices in Santa Barbara County and beyond."
Milazzo himself echoed these sentiments, highlighting FMTC's rich legacy of white-glove service as a significant factor behind his decision to join the firm. He stated, "What attracted me to FMTC are the core values rooted in the Walker family legacy — integrity and service above self. I am excited to help uphold and advance this customer-centered tradition at our new Santa Barbara office."
