Kanbe Tanaka, known as Yam Vendor Kanbei, symbolizes the rich heritage of the Yam vendor dynasty. In contrast, Myochin's lineage boasts over a thousand years of tradition as armorers. The musical intertwines their legacies and presents a poignant love story amid chaos.

Miyu Uemura, playing the role of Omi Yu, invites a weary traveler, the armorer Munemitsu Myochin, to indulge in her yam delicacies, symbolizing warmth and care amongst the strife of the time. This initial meeting catalyzes a charming romance that blossoms between the characters, showcasing the beauty of human connection in adversity.

About the Performers

Miyu Uemura, a graduate of Toho Gakuen School of Music and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, serves as both a pianist and composer, bringing her expertise in music and theater to the production.
