Innovative Automation Services for Advertising Agencies Using Agent Skills Launched

Introduction

In a groundbreaking collaboration, Sniffout Inc. and Hitokuse Inc. have announced the launch of an innovative automation support service for advertising agencies using the industry-standard framework known as 'Agent Skills'. This initiative will officially commence on April 14, 2026, aiming to automate key functions like submission, budget management, and reporting in advertising operations.

Background and Challenges

Traditionally, the processes involved in advertising operations such as submissions, management, and reporting are heavily reliant on human input. Each client may require different formats and operational protocols, which leads to a time-consuming setup. Seasoned professionals commonly spend 3 to 5 hours per case on these tasks each week. The use of generic Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or predefined programming falls short in addressing the diverse requirements of various clients and campaigns. Consequently, the workload limits the number of cases that one individual can manage, usually capped at 5 to 10 cases, presenting a structural challenge where personnel costs dictate revenue caps.

What is Agent Skills?

Agent Skills is a standard framework developed by Anthropic, the organization responsible for the Claude AI models, defining the design and execution of AI agents. Set to be publicly accessible by the end of 2025, it has gained the endorsement of leading AI vendors, including OpenAI and Google. This framework allows AI agents to autonomously perform multi-step tasks based solely on natural language instructions, establishing a common standard expected to underpin all future automation endeavors in various industries. The initiative led by Sniffout and Hitokuse employs this framework to support the automation of advertising management, with effectiveness already validated in actual operations.

Overview of the Initiative

Together, Sniffout and Hitokuse will construct and introduce custom Agent Skills tailored to their business processes, decision rules, and client specifications. This approach enables the seamless integration of AI agents to meet the diverse communication needs of each advertising agency and client, achieving operational readiness within as little as one week.

Key Areas of Automation

1. Submission Automation
Simply provide the instruction sheet or meeting notes to Agent Skills, which will automatically submit to major platforms like Google, Meta, and Yahoo via API. This reduces the usual 30 to 60-minutes task down to approximately 3 minutes.

2. Daily Operation and Budget Management Automation
The system continuously monitors distribution pace, cost-per-acquisition (CPA), and budgetary limits, automatically adjusting based on predetermined thresholds and providing alerts via Slack for any issues or warnings before budget depletion.

3. Reporting Automation
The process handles the differing reporting formats across clients, automating data collection, formatting, integrity checks, and delivery. Initial tests have shown a reduction in errors when compared to human-generated reports.

Security Considerations

As the AI agents will be given operational access to advertising accounts, several security measures will be implemented by default:
  • - Threshold Control for Risk Management: Changes to budgets or ad pauses will be controlled by thresholds requiring approval. For instance, an automatic pause if the spending rate exceeds 99%, with changes over ±20% necessitating managerial review.
  • - Separation of Permissions: Only administrators can create or edit skills, limiting general employees to execution permissions.
  • - Context Engineering: Clearly defined rules and judgment criteria for the AI to follow.
  • - Comprehensive Audit Trails: Logging all operations for tracking.

Pricing Overview

The service will commence at a monthly fee of 500,000 yen, excluding initial setup costs, which will be quoted based on the project size.

Pilot Implementation Results

Having been successfully trialed internally at Hitokuse, the initiative is ready for commercialization. Within a week of pilot deployment, foundational skills were established, and approximately one-third of all operational projects (30 to 50) are now in full-scale operation.

Performance Metrics

  • - Submission Time: Reduced from 30-60 minutes per submission to around 3 minutes (automated).
  • - Daily Budget Adjustment: Shifted from 20-40 minutes a day to full automation.
  • - Report Generation: Initially required 45-90 minutes per report, now automated.
  • - Number of Cases Managed per Person: Increased from 5-10 to a maximum of 50.

This collaborative project has also been highlighted in NIKKEI Digital Governance, emphasizing its significance in automating advertising operations.

Executive Comments

Kaito Tsunemoto, CEO of Sniffout:
“Utilizing Agent Skills for agent development is most effective in workflows that cannot be completely defined, particularly in advertising, where client rules differ greatly. We're eager to promote this initiative as a standard in the advertising sector.”

Wataru Miyazaki, President of Hitokuse:
“In just a week after implementation, our operational flow has dramatically changed. Automation has become a tool for improving quality rather than a risk. We aim to elevate the number of cases handled per individual by more than five times.”
