Heart Failure Society of America Honors Leaders at 2025 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis

The Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA) is set to shine a spotlight on notable individuals advancing heart failure treatment and research at its upcoming 2025 Annual Scientific Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota from September 26 to 29. This prestigious event will honor awardees who have made significant contributions through their dedication, innovation, and leadership in the heart failure community.

  • - Nursing Clinical Excellence Leadership Award: This award goes to Meg Fraser, DNP, ANP-C, CHFN, FHFSA from the University of Minnesota, acknowledging her exemplary nursing care for heart failure patients.

  • - Nursing Research Leadership Award: Lucinda Graven, PhD, APRN from Florida State University College of Nursing will be recognized for her impactful research enhancing patient outcomes.

  • - Heartfelt Hero Award: Wayne Brewer, PhD, PT will be honored for inspiring others as a heart failure patient advocate, showing remarkable dedication to improving patient experiences.

  • - Outstanding Heart Failure Care Team Award: This is shared among three deserving teams: the UAB Heart Failure Transitional Care Services for Adults (HRTSA) Clinic Team, the University of Washington/Harborview Medical Center's Community Heart Failure Program, and the Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center Heart Failure Team. This award recognizes the collective efforts of dedicated healthcare professionals in providing exceptional heart failure care.
