Both BELLUSTAR TOKYO, A Pan Pacific Hotel and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, A PARKROYAL Hotel in the vibrant area of Shinjuku, Tokyo, are poised for a significant leadership change. Effective April 1, 2026, Takeshi Torii will step into the role of General Manager at both establishments.

Torii brings with him a wealth of experience, having dedicated his career largely to the hotel industry's food and beverage sector. His extensive background includes serving as the Deputy General Manager at these two iconic hotels, where he has been integral to the overall management of operations.

In his new position, Torii plans to leverage his extensive on-the-ground experience to fully realize the unique characteristics and atmospheres of each hotel. His goal is to improve the richness of the experience for guests traveling from both domestic and international locations, ensuring they enjoy memorable stays.

A Message from Takeshi Torii



In anticipation of his new role, Torii expressed his thoughts, saying, "I am honored to take on the significant responsibility of General Manager of both BELLUSTAR TOKYO and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, two unique hotels that embody the lively spirit and diversity of Shinjuku. My mission is to provide every guest with a 'memorable stay' that they will cherish."

As both hotels approach their third anniversary in May 2026, Torii feels this is an opportune moment to step into the role. He emphasizes the importance of building upon the values and challenges fostered over the past three years. Torii is committed to ensuring each individual associate's thoughts and strengths are prioritized, enabling them to deliver experiences that can only be found at these hotels.

About Takeshi Torii



Born in January 1970 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Torii began his career at Tokyu Hotels Group in April 1990. He has been involved in various positions, including the food service department at Ginza Tokyu Hotel and later transitioning to the opening preparations at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel in February 2001. After serving as General Manager of Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu in April 2020, he moved into the opening preparation team for BELLUSTAR TOKYO and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU two years later.

Torii's leadership promises to usher in a new era for both properties, potentially transforming guest interactions and experiences. He envisions a harmonious blend of unique branding with a commitment to quality service aimed at delivering unforgettable visits.
