Mikuch League Grand Prix: A New Era of Competitive Livestreaming
The inaugural team competition event,
Mikuch League, recently concluded, with the
Beauties Team from
Bishoujo Zukan claiming the prestigious Grand Prix title. This unique event, organized by
DONUTS in Shibuya, Tokyo, aimed to spotlight talented streamers representing various agencies on the
Mikuch live streaming and video application.
With a total of
eight teams vying for the top spot, the competition spanned nearly two months of rigorous evaluations. Following intense deliberation, the Beauties Team emerged as the champion, while the
KIRINZ Team and
MIXMATE Team took home the runner-up and third place honors, respectively. The Grand Prix winner received an array of extensive rewards, including ad truck features, promotions on large screens across the city, and top placements for video ads within the app, paving the way for their future endeavors.
What is the Mikuch League?
The Mikuch League serves as a competitive platform where streamers form teams representing their organizing agencies. This event encompasses a variety of judging criteria, including live streaming and video posting on the
Mikuch app, along with audience voting through
Mikuch Yell. The innovative format includes a
Regular Season and
Playoffs to enhance engagement and competition.
During the Regular Season, teams accrue points through live streaming and video submissions, categorized into two sectors: “behind-the-scenes streaming evaluation” and “web voting battles.” The top five teams from this phase advance to the playoffs. Here, teams engage in four distinct challenges, including a unique merchandise sales battle, leveraging their creative skills honed during the regular season to garner support and contributions from their fans.
Once the playoff teams were decided, a rallying kickoff event was held for team photo shoots and strategy discussions, setting the groundwork for the longer competition period. This event emphasized team collaboration, resulting in spectacular visual branding and promotional video content, allowing streamers, viewers, and organizers to form a unified and exciting experience.
