Paragraph Wine Introduces French Chardonnay
Paragraph Wine, known for its innovative approach to non-alcoholic wines, is thrilled to announce the launch of its new product,
PARAGRAPH Chardonnay. This finely crafted dry white wine is made entirely from 100% French Chardonnay grapes, and its alcoholic content has been carefully reduced to below 0.5% ABV, making it a delightful option for those who enjoy wine without the effects of alcohol.
Expanding the Portfolio
This launch marks the second release from Paragraph following its successful
Spanish Tempranillo. The introduction of Chardonnay not only diversifies its offerings but also enhances the overall tasting experience, opening up new culinary pairings and drinking occasions.
Founder Steve Arora expresses his excitement: “With a white, Paragraph becomes more than a single wine. We're unlocking new pairings and a different way to enjoy the brand, while staying true to our original ambition to make serious wine accessible for more moments.”
A Taste of Freshness and Balance
Flavor Profile
The
PARAGRAPH Chardonnay is characterized by its freshness, texture, and well-balanced profile. The wine presents stone-fruit aromas of peach and nectarine, delicately complemented by crisp apple, lemon, brioche, and subtle toasted hazelnut notes. The use of French oak adds a savory complexity, enhancing the wine’s overall texture.
Bright and layered, this Chardonnay finishes dry, fresh, and precise, making it a natural companion for seafood, roast chicken, soft cheeses, and lightly spiced dishes. It can also be enjoyed chilled as an excellent aperitif, adding versatility to any gathering.
Regional Influence
The grapes for this exquisite Chardonnay hail from cooler vineyard sites in Southwest France. The unique climatic conditions of altitude and the influence of the Atlantic and Pyrenean regions contribute towards its refreshing acidity and fruit definition. Head Winemaker Duncan Shouler highlights the importance of these growing conditions: “The cooler sites we selected provide the natural acidity necessary for a vibrant wine, while partial malolactic fermentation and French oak aging add a sense of fullness through the mid-palate.”
Production Techniques
The development of the Chardonnay involved extensive tasting and blending sessions with Familia Muga, which serves as Paragraph’s strategic wine partner across both red and white options. The alcohol removal process employs low-temperature vacuum distillation at approximately 30°C (86°F), using an integrated aroma-capture technology that ensures no flavors are added.
Paragraph’s philosophy of creating serious wines remains unchanged, despite the introduction of a different grape and origin. The
PARAGRAPH Chardonnay was officially launched on October 1, making it available alongside the Tempranillo, perfectly timed for the holiday season.
