Fujidice Co. Showcases Precision Engineering Innovations

Fujidice Co., a leader in manufacturing hard alloy wear-resistant tools and molds, participated in the 2026 Society of Precision Engineering Spring Conference, held from March 17 to March 19 at Saitama University. The company, known for its prowess in ultra-precision machining, has attended this conference since 2025, following its receipt of the Excellence Award at the 2024 Society of Precision Engineering Manufacturing Award.

Showcasing Cutting-Edge Technology in Precision Machining

During this year’s event, Fujidice took part in the Advanced Technology Panel and Equipment Exhibition, showcasing a range of ultra-precise products, critical for the next-gen optical communication systems utilized in data centers. The exhibition included molds for optical fiber arrays and MT connectors, which must adhere to tolerances of 0.00001 millimeters, illustrating the company’s commitment to precision engineering. Additionally, they displayed their proprietary electroplated grinding wheels, which are essential tools for achieving such fine machining standards.

Corporate Awards Presented to Students

In an effort to foster relationships with future engineers, the conference also featured a networking event titled Student and Company Gathering. As part of this initiative, corporate awards were given to students who excelled in their research presentations. This year, the Fujidice Award was presented to Iori Watanabe, a fourth-year student from the University of Tokyo, recognizing his outstanding contribution.

Engaging Lunch Seminar for Students

Fujidice also participated in a Lunch Seminar, where eager students had the opportunity to enjoy a meal while listening to presentations from Fujidice’s human resources team and members from the ultra-precision machining development department. This seminar hosted around 70 students, allowing them to dive deeper into the company's unique attributes and technological capabilities.
