In a recent report, the GSMA (Global System for Mobile Communications Association) highlighted the critical need to focus on narrowing the digital divide as over three billion individuals remain offline, despite the widespread availability of mobile internet services. This situation poses significant challenges, particularly as 4.7 billion people, or 58% of the global population, have successfully connected to mobile internet services using their devices.
