Hokkaido Welcomes Back 'Pan no Fesu'
After a hiatus of two years, the much-anticipated 'Pan no Fesu' (Bread Festival) is making its grand return to Hokkaido from May 13 to May 18, 2025. This exciting event promises to be a haven for bread lovers, uniting bakeries from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Nagasaki, at the stunning F Village in Kitahiroshima, home of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters.
Since its inception in 2016 at Yokohama's Red Brick Warehouse, 'Pan no Fesu' has attracted over 1.6 million visitors. It is renowned as one of Japan's largest festivals dedicated to all things bread, making it a must-visit for culinary enthusiasts. This year’s event marks a unique collaboration with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, allowing participants to enjoy gourmet breads while cheering for their favorite baseball teams.
Event Highlights
The festival will span six days, with the first three days coinciding with exciting baseball games against the Orix Buffaloes. From May 13 to May 15, visitors can savor their favorite breads while attending the games - a unique blend of sports and culinary delight!
The remaining days, from May 16 to May 18, will focus on showcasing a wide array of popular and beloved bakeries, featuring exclusive items that are often sold out. Participants are encouraged to explore and discover new favorites that they'll be sure to take home.
A total of
26 renowned bakeries will participate in this year's festival, including
12 first-time entrants. Here are a few highlights from the lineup:

- - Thank You Sandwich from Tokyo's Kichijoji
- - HITOKAMI from Minami Aoyama, which is making its debut
- - Fritz Speicialty Bread Shop from Machida
- - The Gourd Bakery from Tajimi, Gifu
- - AWAJI Beef Curry Bread Sanheart from Awaji Island
- - Scallion Sandwich Specialty Store Yamabuki from Yamaguchi
- - Kiyoka Morimoto from Nagasaki
From May 16, some local favorites will also join the fun:
- - Kitakitsune no Shippo from Sapporo
- - Croissant Specialty Mikasuki from Sapporo
- - Boulangerie Lafi from Furano
- - Sweet Orchestra from Sapporo
- - Scone Specialty Iro from Yokohama
- - Pan Studio Guru Guru from Ibaraki
