Mori-Han, a celebrated tea shop from Uji, Kyoto, will be hosting a Popup Shop at the Daikanyama T-SITE fair titled
Hello! New Tune - Time for Tea from January 9 to January 22, 2026. Established in 1836, Mori-Han has gained recognition for its high-quality Japanese tea offerings. This event will showcase a unique array of products designed to provide an immersive sensory tea experience.
At the Popup Shop, attendees can explore several exciting items, including the innovative teapot
CHASTA, which allows tea enthusiasts to enjoy their favorite brews with the power of all five senses. Additionally, the
ISSEN series offers single-serving sachets of diverse teas, perfect for sampling various flavors. Visitors can also discover the
Rokkaku no Toki series, which features single-varietal matcha to highlight the distinct taste profiles of different tea plants.
In an exciting partnership, the Popup Shop will collaborate with the on-site café
Anjin, offering a special menu item that includes the popular
Anjin Pudding. This pudding, known for its rich flavor from Danish cream cheese, is topped with a generous scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Guests can further enhance their dessert experience by selecting one of four unique syrups crafted from high-quality ingredients sourced from Kyoto, including matcha, hojicha, Japanese black tea, or coffee. Each syrup is made specifically for this event, showcasing the finest tea leaves collected directly from domestic tea fields.
As part of the special menu, CEASTA will also allow participants the chance to brew their own
ISSEN green tea, providing a hands-on experience where they can enjoy the gradual unfolding of the tea leaves as they steep. This interactive brewing process not only emphasizes the aromatic and flavorful nuances of fresh tea but also makes the enjoyment of tea a sensory delight.
During the Popup Shop’s operation, tasting events featuring
CHASTA will be available from January 10 to 12 and again from January 17 to 18. Guests can experience the ease and convenience of using CHASTA firsthand, allowing them to connect more deeply with their tea.
