Unlocking Survey Data Analysis: A Hands-On Text Mining Seminar

Upcoming Seminar on Text Mining and Survey Data

On July 7, 2025, Seed Planning Co., Ltd., based in Bunkyo, Tokyo, will host a comprehensive seminar titled “Analyzing Survey Data with Text Mining: Both Open-ended and Multiple-choice Responses.” This session aims to guide participants through the effective use of text mining tools to analyze diverse types of survey data, emphasizing enhanced understanding and data visualization.

Seminar Overview

This seminar is designed to equip attendees with skills in utilizing text mining techniques specifically for analyzing both open-ended and multiple-choice survey responses. Text mining can transform the way we interpret survey data, revealing insights through novel visualizations and coding methods. Participants will gain practical knowledge in using the KH Coder software, renowned for its capabilities in visualizing data and coding hypotheses.

Content Highlights

1. Introduction to Text Mining: Participants will learn the fundamentals of text mining and its relevance to analyzing open-ended survey responses, enabling a comprehensive view of textual data.

2. Utilizing Visualization and Hypothesis Coding: The seminar will cover essential components of visualizing responses and engaging in hypothesis coding, allowing a deeper exploration of survey results.

3. Analyzing Multiple-choice Responses: Attendees will discover methods for structuring survey data to incorporate text mining seamlessly, even with multiple-choice questions or rating scales. Participants will be guided through practical exercises to solidify their understanding.
