Uncharted Expands Retail Presence in Illinois

Uncharted, the innovative retail brand known for its immersive shopping experience, has announced the opening of its fourth and fifth stores in Illinois, located in Orland Park and Geneva. This expansion underscores the company’s commitment to creating engaging environments that promote exploration and discovery among shoppers.

With these new openings, Uncharted strengthens its foothold in the Chicagoland area, bringing the total number of locations to eight within the span of a year. The brand, which operates under The Paper Store, is designed for those seeking a break from routine shopping. Uncharted offers an exciting mix of top brands, trendy products, and unique in-store interactions that aim to surprise and delight customers at each visit.

Uncharted is known for its variety of products, which rotate continually to keep the shopping experience fresh and exciting. New locations will feature trendy items ranging from Swedish BUBS candy, which has captured online fame, to stylish fashion lines such as Free People, UGG, and Baggu. In addition, shoppers can explore expansive sections dedicated to home decor, toys, and beauty products. Notably, each store will include customized experiences for customers, such as a bar where they can personalize their purchases with options for patches, heat pressing, and even ear piercing services.

The Geneva store is conveniently situated at 1548 S Randall Rd, part of Randall Square Shopping Center, while the Orland Park location is found at 14906 LaGrange Road. Both stores will provide job opportunities for over 40 local team members, contributing to the local economy and community. This investment in Illinois marks part of Uncharted’s broader plan to expand its retail operations, with projections to invest $100 million over the next few years, significantly increasing from their original budget of $60 million.

The grand opening events for both stores are scheduled for October 25th and 26th, kicking off at 9 AM. The first 100 guests aged 18 and over will receive a mystery Joy Reward card, which could be valued at up to $20. Additionally, shoppers will have the opportunity to win a $200 gift card, adding even more excitement to the launch. To celebrate the opening, Uncharted will host a series of embroidery events leading up to the holiday shopping season, allowing customers to personalize their purchases, including items such as bags, hats, and stuffed animals. The first embroidery events will take place in Orland Park on October 18th, November 8th, and December 13th, with corresponding events in Geneva on October 19th, November 22nd, and December 6th.
