Vero Fiber Begins Fiber-to-the-Home Construction in El Centro
Vero Fiber has announced the commencement of a significant fiber network project in El Centro, California. This initiative aims to provide fiber-to-the-home internet services, greatly enhancing connectivity for local residents, businesses, and educational institutions. The company, known for its reliable and affordable internet solutions, focuses on customer satisfaction and community engagement.
The construction will span multiple designated zones within the city, with each area set to serve approximately 300 homes. The first phase is situated around neighborhoods near De Anza Magnet School, strategically positioned between South Imperial Avenue and South La Brucherie Road, extending from Ross Avenue to Ocotillo Drive. Future construction plans include areas near Sunflower Elementary School and the El Centro Community Center, ensuring that a wide range of neighborhoods benefit from this project.
Sunita Krishna, the CEO of Vero Fiber, expressed her enthusiasm about the project, stating, "Bringing fiber internet to El Centro is an investment in the people and organizations that make this community strong. Bridging the digital divide will help local businesses grow and give schools and students access to more resources. We're excited to bring infrastructure to El Centro that can support the local economy and the community for years to come."
In addition to the construction, Vero Fiber introduces a referral program whereby residents and businesses can recommend friends and family to sign up for their services. Both referrers and new customers will benefit from a complimentary month of fiber internet, fostering community growth and connectivity. Moreover, Vero's "Veros Heroes" program provides discounts for public service members, including firefighters, police officers, educators, healthcare workers, and first responders, as a way of showing appreciation to those who serve the community.
Vero Fiber stands out in the industry with its strong emphasis on local involvement and community investment. They have successfully established fiber networks in various cities across California, including Arcata, Eureka, and Ukiah. The company has already created 29 jobs in California and plans to expand its workforce within El Centro. In its commitment to supporting local initiatives, Vero Fiber donated $13,000 in 2025 to local nonprofits and a fire station, directly impacting the community.
