Shan Zenghai, additionally heading the working group focused on the safe use of mobile cranes, reported on the progress of the ISO 12480-2 standard— a framework developed under Chinese leadership aimed at ensuring the safe operation of mobile cranes. This initiative marks a significant step forward as the project has moved into the international standard draft phase (DIS), a critical milestone for its implementation.

The Chinese delegation, led by XCMG's technical experts, also proposed innovative projects regarding ISO 9927-2, which pertains to mobile crane inspections, capturing the attention of attending international experts. During the three-day event, discussions led to the advancement of work related to 14 international crane standards, many of which are currently under Chinese leadership or revision.
