Mews and Uber Collaborate to Revolutionize Hotel Transportation Booking Process for Guests

Mews and Uber: A Game-Changing Partnership in Hotel Transportation

In an unprecedented collaboration set to transform the hospitality landscape, Mews, a leading hotel operating system, has announced a strategic partnership with Uber. This integration allows hotels to seamlessly incorporate rides into their management platform, enabling guests to book, track, and settle transportation directly through Mews.

The initiative comes in light of Uber's recent launch of its "GO-GET 2026" campaign, which is geared towards enhancing customer travel experiences. Mews has now expanded this initiative into hotels’ property management systems (PMS), providing hoteliers the capability to offer Uber rides as part of their service offerings, rather than as an external transaction.

At the Mews Unfold event in Amsterdam, scheduled for May 27, 2026, two of the key figures in this collaboration, Christophe Peymirat, Sr. Director of Uber for Business EMEA, and Mike Coscetta, President of Mews, will discuss how the synergy between travel technology, hotels, and companies beyond traditional travel industries is reshaping guest experiences.

Transport booking has always been a significant aspect of guest requests and often one of the most manually handled processes within hotel operations. According to a Mews study from 2026, guests routinely handle their own transport arrangements, spending on average $50 per stay—funds that could otherwise contribute to hotel revenues. The new partnership stands as a solution, allowing hotels to tap into additional revenue streams by providing ride-booking services either for their customers or staff.

This collaboration highlights a key opportunity, with modern guests seeking a "seamless" stay where hotels solve all problems—beyond just providing accommodations. By merging these elements, the Mews and Uber integration empowers hotels to elevate their offerings, extending beyond lodging to create a fully connected guest experience that is now vital in a competitive market.

With just a few clicks, hotel staff will be able to book rides for guests, track vehicles in real-time, and process payments—all from within the Mews platform. Airport pickups and last-minute changes will be easily managed through Mews as well, enhancing the overall efficiency of the operational workflow.

"Hotels invest substantial effort into enhancing the guest experience within their premises," stated Christophe Peymirat, Sr. Director of Uber for Business EMEA. "The journey to and from the hotel is a crucial part of that experience. Directly linking Uber’s network to the Mews platform offers hotels transparency and control over a process they have manually managed for decades."

This logic extends to hotel teams as well. Providing reliable transport for staff working late or night shifts is an easy way for hotels to organize stress-free, dependable rides home for team members, thus boosting employee satisfaction. The integration is designed to support:

  • - Ride bookings initiated by both employees and guests available through the Mews platform via accounts and guest portals.
  • - Live vehicle tracking and ride confirmations, giving both staff and guests real-time information on vehicle locations.
  • - Automatic billing through Mews Payments on the guest’s invoice, eliminating manual reconciliations while keeping all transactions within one platform.
  • - Complete transparency for hotels regarding all ride activity, as well as clear visibility for customers on pricing and costs.
  • - Insights into guest transportation habits, aiding hotels in better planning and managing services throughout their guests' stays.

By integrating Uber into the Mews operating system, hotels will present transportation as a core aspect of the stay, incorporating it into unified guest billing rather than treating it as a separate transaction. Transportation is among the most prominent demands from guests that hotels can and should meet—but historically, many have not been well-equipped to do so.

The integration of Mews and Uber is currently in development, with a pilot project expected to launch later this year. Further details will be communicated directly to clients and partners ahead of this initiation.
