iM Global Partner Expands into European Market with UCITS ETFs

iM Global Partner Enters European Market with UCITS ETF

iM Global Partner (iMGP) has made a significant move by announcing its entrance into the European market of actively managed UCITS ETFs. This expansion includes the launch of the iMGP DBi Managed Futures Fund R USD, a unique addition to the alternative investment landscape in Europe, marking it as the only actively managed futures UCITS ETF currently available.

The ETF is set to be traded on both the Euronext Paris and the London Stock Exchange in GBP. It aims to mirror the performance of the largest managed futures ETF globally, the iMGP DBi Managed Futures Strategy ETF, which is registered in the United States under the ticker DBMFUS. The corresponding European version will trade under the ticker DBMFFP, allowing European investors access to a comparable investment vehicle.

This investment strategy seeks to replicate gross returns of a representative basket of premier hedge funds specializing in managed futures, a strategy that has garnered interest from a diverse range of investors looking for opportunities beyond traditional asset classes. This new UCITS ETF broadens iMGP’s existing offerings of managed futures and provides clients with various avenues to access managed futures via their preferred investment wrappers.

The European market for actively managed UCITS ETFs has been on a continuous growth trajectory over the past few years. Such products are seen as the next-generation building blocks of investment portfolios, as they offer versatility and innovative ways to diversify. iM Global Partner has an active portfolio in this space and plans to introduce additional actively managed UCITS ETFs in the forthcoming months.

Philippe Couvrecelle, the founder and CEO of iMGP, expressed excitement regarding this expansion. He stated, "After several years of offering actively managed ETFs in the U.S., we are thrilled to bring this offering to European investors. Our ability to respond to market opportunities is a testament to our dedication to providing innovative, cutting-edge products to all our clients, regardless of their location."

Furthermore, Andrew Beer, co-founder of DBi, remarked on the rising popularity of managed futures ETFs in the United States, indicating, "Managed futures are witnessing significant market success in the U.S., and we are proud to partner with iMGP to launch DBMFFP in Europe. This debut underscores the success of our model, as managed futures stand out as one of the few alternative strategies with unmistakable diversification benefits."

The launch of the iMGP DBi Managed Futures Fund R USD is expected to further strengthen iM Global Partner's foothold in the European financial markets, showcasing the company's commitment to responding to evolving investment trends and client needs. With this strategic introduction, iM Global Partner not only demonstrates its capacity for innovation but also its ambition to thrive within the competitive landscape of European investments.

As investors seek diversified solutions to navigate market volatility, the rollout of the iMGP's Managed Futures UCITS ETF appears timely. This bold step into the European market is a significant signal of iM Global Partner's ongoing aspirations and future commitment to providing investors with sophisticated financial instruments designed to meet the demands of contemporary investment strategies.

As the European actively managed UCITS ETF market continues to evolve, iM Global Partner stands poised to play a pivotal role in shaping its landscape, delivering unrivaled options for modern investors eager to explore new frontiers in asset management.
