JRP and Persol Cross Technology Join Forces to Shape Digital Talents in Mobility Industry

JRP and Persol Cross Technology Partnership

In an exciting development for the mobility industry, Japan Race Promotion (JRP), which operates Japan's premier motorsport series, the SUPER FORMULA, has signed a partnership agreement with Persol Cross Technology. This collaboration sets out to support the development of the official SUPER FORMULA application, "SFgo," through which both companies aim to nurture digital talents within the industry.

The Vision Behind SFgo

The SFgo application is designed to enhance the experience of fans and enthusiasts of SUPER FORMULA. Going forward, the app aims to become Asia's largest digital entertainment platform in motorsports. With exciting features such as AR/VR viewing experiences and AI-driven race analytics, SFgo will elevate the way fans engage with Japan's top racing series.

As the mobility industry increasingly embraces Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs), the demand for engineers with expertise in vehicle data and cloud applications is on the rise. By developing SFgo using AI-based approaches, JRP and Persol Cross Technology propose to create opportunities for practical experiences that align with the emerging needs of the industry, thereby fostering a new generation of digital talents.

Insights from Leaders

Naoki Okubo, head of the IT Engineering Division at Persol Cross Technology, expressed enthusiasm regarding this partnership. He stated, "With over 10,000 engineers on board, we offer wide-ranging support for various projects in the automotive, aerospace, home appliance, and robotics sectors. In the automotive industry, we have built a robust track record, tackling advanced developments including the retrofitting of commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery for automation and electrification."

Okubo continued, "In this project, we will not be bound by past achievements but will embrace an AI-driven development approach. By strengthening our capabilities to adapt to an AI-native technological environment, we aim to create new values that will shape the future of system integrators (SIs). Collaborating with JRP, we intend to leverage our engineering prowess to advance the development of digital talents, thus contributing to the mobility industry's growth and the promotion of motorsports."

Similarly, Sota Minao, project manager of SFgo 2.0 at JRP, remarked on the importance of this initiative. He noted, "SFgo is a pivotal theme in our project 'SF NEXT50,' aimed at fostering a sustainable motorsports industry. From its inception, SFgo was positioned as a digital transformation initiative in motorsports, and this partnership with Persol Cross Technology enables us to extend our contributions to talent development in the mobility sector."

Minao emphasized that the demand for engineers with a comprehensive understanding of in-car devices and vehicle data is rapidly increasing as SDVs and autonomous vehicles continue to evolve. "We wish to utilize SFgo as a platform to nurture digital talents, addressing challenges faced by the automotive industry while providing fans with new viewing experiences."
