Sirva Elevates Joe Genautis to CTO/CIO Roles to Unify Technology Vision

Sirva Appoints Joe Genautis as New CTO/CIO

In a significant organizational shift, Sirva has announced the promotion of Joe Genautis to the roles of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO). This move comes as the company aims to enhance its technological strategy to better serve its clients worldwide. Genautis, who has played a crucial role in innovation since his inception at Sirva in 2016, will now oversee the broad spectrum of global technology strategy and operations.

Joe Genautis succeeds John Kirk, who is retiring after a successful decade with Sirva, having made substantial contributions to the company's technological advancements. Genautis is set to carry on this legacy while infusing an increasing focus on artificial intelligence (AI) across all platforms and processes within Sirva.

As the company strives to stay competitive in the fast-paced relocation and moving services sector, Genautis's leadership will be instrumental in enhancing Sirva's data security initiatives. His mandate includes safeguarding client, employee, and corporate information in a constantly evolving digital landscape. Furthermore, he has set out to address the company's Strategic Imperatives, namely Speed, Innovative Technology, Operational Excellence, and Exceptional Customer Service.

In a statement regarding his expanded role, Carlyn Taylor, the CEO of Sirva, expressed confidence in Genautis's capabilities. "Joe has been a driving force behind our innovation journey. By expanding his role, we are positioning ourselves to move faster and smarter—especially when it comes to integrating AI and further advancing our data security," she stated.

Genautis, reflecting on this transformative time, expressed his enthusiasm for spearheading initiatives aimed at AI-powered mobility. He noted, "This is an exciting and transformative moment—not just for Sirva, but for the industry. I'm thrilled to lead our charge toward AI-powered mobility. From data-driven decision-making to smarter automation, we're building the foundation for a more agile, responsive, and customer-focused future."

Prior to joining Sirva, Genautis served as Chief Information Officer at Torstar Corporation, guiding the company's technology platforms and cybersecurity programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Economics and Computer Science from the University of Toronto, equipping him with a strong foundation for addressing the challenges ahead.

As part of his new role, Genautis will have authority over the global Information Technology division, which includes IT Security, Infrastructure, Desktop Support, and Application Development, areas critical to both the moving and relocation services provided by Sirva.
