CLOU Electronics Showcases Energy Storage Solutions at The Smarter E Europe 2026

In the vibrant city of Munich, Germany, The Smarter E Europe 2026 kicked off, presenting a premier platform for companies in the energy sector to highlight their latest innovations. Among the notable exhibitors were CLOU Electronics and Midea Energy, showcasing their cutting-edge energy storage solutions in a collaborative exhibit. This event is critical as Europe focuses on enhancing energy transition technologies amid global sustainability challenges.

CLOU Electronics introduced their flagship product, the Aqua-C3.0 Ultra, which is tailored for large-scale energy storage applications. With a remarkable storage capacity of 5,154 MWh, this compact container exceeds expectations with its ability to reduce logistical costs and installation complexity while occupying less space compared to conventional solutions. The Aqua-C3.0 Ultra's total system weight is under 39 tons, making it a game-changer in the industry.

Furthermore, CLOU revealed the Aqua-E261, specifically designed for commercial and industrial sectors in Europe. This unit boasts exceptional safety features, cost-effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Utilizing advanced 314 Ah battery cells, the Aqua-E261 can achieve a single cabinet capacity of 261 kWh while maintaining a strict cell temperature deviation of less than 2.5°C. This precision is achieved through balanced cooling at both the package and cell levels, ensuring optimal performance.

Midea Energy also played a significant role in the exhibition by presenting their integrated energy solutions tailored for AI data centers. The collaborative effort between Midea's expertise in cooling technology and CLOU's proficiency in power electronics aims to create a comprehensive energy architecture for next-generation supercomputing centers. The integration of storage systems, high-voltage direct current (HVDC), static synchronous compensators (SST), battery backup units (BBU), and Midea's innovative maglev liquid cooling chillers exemplifies a holistic approach to energy management.

One of the pressing challenges in energy storage is maintaining consistency among battery cells, especially as systems evolve to include higher-capacity cells exceeding 500 Ah. CLOU addressed this issue through their publication on CC-CC cell-level energy transfer technology, which enables a bi-directional energy programming channel between battery cells. This innovative system can handle currents up to 5 A, promoting continuous real-time management of cell consistency while enhancing recurring revenues throughout the battery life cycle by approximately 4%.

CLOU's participation in this event forms part of Midea Energy's broader strategy to solidify its international presence. With a successful track record of implementing large-scale energy storage projects across Europe, including Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and North Macedonia, CLOU has established over 50 commercial and industrial storage installations in markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Netherlands. As the demand for sustainable energy solutions escalates, CLOU Electronics remains committed to leveraging Midea Group's comprehensive resources and global delivery capabilities, positioning itself as a long-term partner in Europe’s energy transition.

As The Smarter E Europe 2026 unfolds, the focus on sustainability and innovative energy solutions is palpable, reflecting a collective effort toward a greener future. CLOU Electronics stands at the forefront of this movement, ensuring that its products not only meet but exceed the expectations of an evolving energy landscape.
