Innovative Frameworks Introduced at CISCE's 3rd European Promotion Event
The Third European Promotion Event of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) took place from March 17 to 21, 2025, under the auspices of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). A delegation comprising prominent Chinese entrepreneurs visited Italy and Serbia, with the aim of fostering trade collaborations. The highlight of this tour was the Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum held concurrently with the promotion of the Third International Supply Chain Expo in Milan (Italy) and Belgrade (Serbia).
In a year that marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union, the event represents a crucial milestone in enhancing bilateral engagement. According to Ren, a CCPIT representative, significant advancements have been made across various sectors, demonstrating the potential for robust cooperation. The CCPIT is committed to solidifying partnerships that can strengthen supply chain dynamics within the global business community and extends an invitation for European companies to join the upcoming expo.
One of the primary objectives discussed during the forum is to establish a higher level of openness to create a conducive business atmosphere for the private sector. The CCPIT envisions the potential to escalate collaborations in traditional sectors while simultaneously venturing into new domains such as renewable energy, digital economy, and equipment manufacturing.
Ren emphasized the importance of a balanced and reciprocal multilateral approach in strengthening bilateral relationships. This strategy aims to foster trade liberalization and investment facilitation between China and Europe, which are pivotal for reinforcing global economic resilience amid external risks.
Noteworthy speeches were delivered by key figures including Mario Boselli, President of the Italy-China Council Foundation, David Doninotti, Secretary General of the Italian Foreign Trade Association, and Liu Kan, China's Consul General in Milan. Their collective insights underscored the mutual benefits that can be derived from enhanced cooperation.
Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, and Serbian Economy Minister Adrijana Mesarović shared similar sentiments. They both recognized the importance of establishing solid foundations for collaboration that could lead to fruitful economic recovery and stability in global markets.
The event attracted over 400 delegates from various trade promotion and investment organizations, business associations, as well as Italian and Serbian enterprises. These attendees engaged in discussions about industrial exchange and supply chain opportunities that could pave the way for future partnerships. Throughout the meeting, the China International Exhibition Group sealed multiple cooperation agreements with various organizations and companies.
In summary, the third CISCE European Promotion Event highlighted not only the commitment of China and the EU to strengthen their economic ties but also the shared vision to promote an open global economy. It served as an essential platform for fostering dialogue, exploring new collaboration areas, and emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in navigating the complexities of international trade.
The CISCE, through events like these, promotes a prosperous future where business opportunities can be embraced by nations on equal footing, allowing them to thrive in an interconnected world. As businesses look ahead, the call for participation in the next Expo resonates, urging companies to leverage these exchanges for stronger, more secure alliances.
