Comodo Design's Continued Support for Young Creatives
Comodo Design has proudly announced its sponsorship of the
bud brand AWARD 2026, continuing their commitment to nurturing the next generation of creative talent. This award, aimed at young designers and students under the age of 35, has become a significant platform for emerging creators to showcase their innovative ideas to an international audience.
The
bud brand initiative is led by the Japan Design Bank Corporation, which has been supporting exhibitions at Milan Design Week since 2016. Following a successful showcase in 2025, the organization once again took up a dedicated exhibition space in the Tortona district, famously known for its vibrant atmosphere during the design week events. This area is one of the most popular zones, frequently attracting a large number of visitors, alongside other renowned venues like Superstudio.
During this year’s Milan Design Week, bud brand showcased ten selected works from a pool of over one hundred submissions. This remarkable exhibition drew in more than 10,000 visitors within just one week, highlighting the importance and impact of this event.
On July 1, 2023, Comodo Design participated in a report meeting held at the showroom of R.F. Yamakawa Company in Tsukishima, Tokyo. Prior to this meeting, attendees visited the ongoing exhibition at the 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT gallery, hosted by YKK AP, featuring works from the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí.
Looking ahead, preparations for the
bud brand AWARD 2027 are already underway, promising another opportunity for young creatives to present their work at Milan Design Week. This year's theme is “Touch,” inviting designers under 35 to engage in an inspiring challenge. For those interested in participating, additional information can be found on the official bud brand website.
