A New Artistic Movement Is Born: Poetic Visualism
A novel wave of artistic expression is set to emerge with the inaugural exhibition of
Poetic Visualism, a term that encapsulates the unification of
words and images into a new mode of representation. Despite being practiced by various artists without a name, this philosophy is being officially introduced as a recognized genre through this exhibition.

MOMO, a 10-year-old talent who fuses poetry and imagery in her remarkable works.
Highlighting Young Talent: MOMO
MOMO captures the essence of Poetic Visualism with her unique works such as
‘The Nameless Person’, depicting an universal hope that transcends appearances and social standings; and
‘Girl in a Wheelchair’, which narrates a poignant tale of love and rebirth overcoming suffering. Her artistry symbolizes the core of what Poetic Visualism truly represents.
Special Guest Event with Anz Kanie
On November 22, acclaimed artist and author
Anz Kanie will partake in a live painting event titled
‘Art Connects Poetry Between Children and Adults’ alongside children from Phoenix International School. Known for her collaborations, including works with Toyota on the
‘MIRAI’ and BMW Japan, Kanie's insights bring a mature artistic lens to this gathering, inspiring intergenerational dialogue through creative expression.
Curation Advisory: Habu Kazuhito
Habu Kazuhito, a curator who founded the art collective Onpa in Berlin in 2001, is at the helm of the project. His extensive experience in art curation and management, particularly in supporting artists with clear legal frameworks for their works, enriches the exhibition's conceptual depth. Habu's career has transcended borders, facilitating collaborations between domestic and international artists and businesses.
Innovative Educational Practices
In line with the exhibit's ethos,
Claire Fletcher, Principal of Phoenix International School, has launched a curatorial club exclusively for children, deeply engaging them in the creative process of this exhibition. The students are not only responsible for creating accompanying titles, logos, and copy but also for designing the flow of the exhibit and narrating its storyline, thereby truly embodying the principle of
co-learning.
Principal Fletcher asserts: _“I want to nurture children who can freely express their feelings, emphasizing the importance of empathy and creativity to thrive in a diverse world. This is the essence of our mission towards global citizenship education.”_
