Sirius Corporation's switleBODY Wins Best Award at NBC Startup Program

Sirius Corporation's switleBODY Triumphs at NBC's 22nd Startup Mentoring Program

On December 17, 2025, Sirius Corporation, headquartered in Taitō, Tokyo, proudly announced that its caregiving tool, switleBODY, was honored with the prestigious Best Award during the 22nd Startup Mentoring Program organized by the New Business Council (NBC). This announcement highlights not only the innovation behind switleBODY but also its significant impact on the caregiving industry.

The Revolutionary switleBODY

Launched in April 2024, switleBODY is recognized as the world’s first caregiving body washing tool designed specifically for elderly care. This groundbreaking product not only facilitates more accessible hygiene for those in need of caregiving assistance but also aligns with the increasing demand for supportive healthcare solutions in Japan’s rapidly aging population.

At the mentoring program, various startup representatives, including Sirius’s CEO, Ryōhei Kamei, delivered seven-minute pitches showcasing their unique services and innovations. During his presentation, Kamei emphasized the practicality of switleBODY, addressing real-world challenges faced by caregivers and the current state of elderly care in Japan. He elaborated on how switleBODY can serve as an essential tool for Business Continuity Planning (BCP), making it indispensable in the future of caregiving.

Mentoring and Evaluation Process

The event was conducted online with the support of Fabbit, one of Japan's largest co-working space providers. The initiative aims to support entrepreneurs in their growth towards Initial Public Offerings (IPOs). Selected startup CEOs pitched their ideas to a panel of experienced mentors, including former IPO executives and venture capitalists, receiving valuable feedback and insights.

The jury consisted of influential figures such as Takahiro Arimoto (Chairman & CEO of MS-Japan), Masayuki Aoki (President of Ubicom Holdings and NBC Chairman), Yutaka Shimizu (Chairman & CEO of Kamakura Shinsho), and Kazunari Tomita (CEO of ZUU). Each mentor provided in-depth critique of the pitches, and the standout companies were awarded the opportunity to compete in the finals scheduled for March 18, 2026, featuring the best firms.

Future Prospects for switleBODY

With the recognition from the NBC, Sirius Corporation is set on an upward trajectory in the caregiving market. The accolades received not only validate the innovation behind switleBODY but also its necessity amid Japan's aging society. As the demand for effective caregiving solutions grows, switleBODY's role as a versatile and practical washing tool may soon extend beyond traditional markets.

The image of Kamei demonstrating switleBODY during the pitch represents a significant moment in the company’s journey. His efforts, along with the support from mentors and the broader business community, set a strong foundation for future endeavors. As Sirius Corporation prepares for its next steps, there is immense anticipation for how switleBODY will evolve and impact the caregiving landscape.
