On July 22, 2026, Wistron Corporation celebrated the grand opening of its D1 AI Smart Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This significant milestone not only marks Wistron's commitment to evolving its manufacturing capabilities but also showcases the growth of the AI industry in the U.S. This facility is now the birthplace of the first NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra superchip produced in the United States, highlighting Wistron’s advanced manufacturing techniques intended to meet local demand.

Constructed at a cost of $700 million and spanning approximately 324,000 square feet, the grand opening ceremony featured prominent figures including Simon Lin, Wistron’s chairman; Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of NVIDIA; and Jessica Rogers, the director of Economic Development for Fort Worth. Additionally, dignitaries such as Alexander Tah-ray Yui, Taiwan’s Representative to the U.S., attended the event, reflecting the global nature of this technological advancement.

Simon Lin commented on the innovative nature of their production, stating, "What we are doing here isn’t typical manufacturing. It’s new, comprehensive, and cutting-edge. We are currently producing the NVIDIA GB300 Grace Blackwell superchip and soon we’ll begin work on the NVIDIA Vera Rubin superchip as well. This location will become critical in enhancing our AI infrastructure efforts in the U.S. over the next two years."
