Engaging Conversations on Art and Culture: The Tenjishitsu Project Talk Sessions



The Tenjishitsu Project is an initiative aimed at opening up spaces for diverse discussions within the community. This year marks the second year of the project, which will host a series of four talk sessions featuring various artists and experts reflecting on the culture and arts of Chofu. Each event promises a unique perspective, facilitated by prominent moderators and participants.

The first session titled "Administration × Art" will take place on July 5th, featuring the contemporary art team mé, known for their dynamic and large-scale projects, including directing the Saitama International Art Festival 2023. The discussion will focus on the collaboration between the Chofu City administration and mé.

The second session on September 15th will bridge the relationship between commerce and art. It features Yudai Iikawa, whose works often include the audience's feedback, alongside representatives from Chofu PARCO and Keio Triennale. Their talk will explore how commercial spaces can integrate artistic endeavors into community building.

On October 25th, the third talk session titled "Entertainment × Art" will feature artists Atsushi Yamamoto and film director Kiyotaka Taguchi. They will discuss the intersection of narrative and visual expression, showcasing a variety of film works.

Project Advisor and Moderator: Nozomi Ogawa


Nozomi Ogawa is the founder of the Art Center Ongoing and has spearheaded numerous community-oriented art projects. Under her guidance, the Tenjishitsu Project aims to reshape how the community interacts with art, encouraging dialogue between residents and artists.
