Introducing Cloud Ten Theater
On
August 2, 2026, the
Cloud Ten Theater officially opened its doors located within the
Diversity Tokyo Plaza. This venue serves as a creative center for the
theater boys group project guided by the legendary producer
Akiyoshi Akimoto. The
Semba Corporation, based in
Minato, Tokyo, was responsible for the design and construction of the theater's foyer as well as the theater's interior.
A Collaborative Growth Space
Unlike conventional theaters designed for accomplished performances,
Cloud Ten aims to be a
nurturing ground where talent can develop collaboratively. The objective is to create an experience where audiences can witness the growth of young idols, showcasing their journey from auditions to on-stage performances. This venue plays a crucial role in hosting regular performances and fan events, delivering an authentic experience where members and fans can connect. The design avoids extravagant aesthetics, instead reflecting the
symbolism of beginnings, marking a space where new groups can flourish.
A Reflection of Off-Broadway Charm
The
Semba Corporation undertook the challenge of transforming a retail space into a theater experience with a design concept inspired by the
warehouse districts of Off-Broadway. This idea symbolizes the growth of the members as they shine brighter while embracing their individuality and unique colors within this space.
To create the desired aesthetic, the design integrates brick wall elements central to the
Off-Broadway culture, characterized by warehouses and small theaters. The space predominantly uses gray and black hues, which accentuate the presence and individuality of each participating member. The flooring features a line design representing the
