Sun Silver Expands Its Maverick Silver Project Through Major Acquisitions and Land Consolidation Activities

Sun Silver's Strategic Growth in the Maverick Silver Project

Sun Silver Limited continues to make bold moves in the mining industry with its recent acquisition of the Bayan Springs North Project from Bayan Mining and Minerals Ltd. This strategic move is set to enhance its Maverick Silver Project located in Nevada, USA, by consolidating ownership throughout a promising mineralized corridor.

Major Acquisition Announcement

On July 23, 2026, Sun Silver announced a binding agreement to fully acquire the Bayan Springs North Project, while also staking 106 new lode mining claims covering approximately 8.86 square kilometers adjacent to its existing holdings. This acquisition secures continuous ownership across the growing northwest mineralized trend that has become increasingly significant due to recent geological evaluations. The company’s latest additions to their land portfolio expand the prospective area they control to approximately 15 kilometers, even though only about 2.5 kilometers has been tested through drilling so far.

Importance of Continuous Ownership

Andrew Dornan, Managing Director of Sun Silver, emphasized the significance of securing continuous ownership of the northwest extension of the Maverick Silver Project. This acquisition not only bolsters their existing geological model but also positions the company to exploit a rich corridor that they believe remains largely untested. With ongoing drill programs and anticipated assay results soon, the company is set to unveil the broader potential of the Maverick Silver Project.

Expanded Landholding

The addition of the Bayan Springs North Project, along with the newly staked claims, strengthens Sun Silver's landholding significantly. The previous geological explorations and detailed mapping conducted between 2024 and early 2026 have refined their understanding of the mineralization controls at Maverick, which is essential for the exploration and extraction processes moving forward. This new information has allowed the company to identify areas of high-grade mineralization located within a northwest-trending antiformal hinge and associated structural corridor.

Continuing Exploration Efforts

Sun Silver's commitment to exploration is evident. The exploration efforts that took place in 2025 successfully validated their evolving understandings of geology and mineralization patterns, leading to noteworthy drilling results, including an impressive discovery of 70.1 meters at a grade of 160 grams per tonne of silver equivalent from one of the drill holes. This highlights the potential for resource growth along the strike and provides a solid endorsement of the company’s strategic planning and geological insights.

Northern Target Exploration

Recent surface explorations have also revealed a promising new corridor extending beyond the current mineral resource footprint. Findings from rock chip sampling indicate a 2-kilometer trend characterized by elevated antimony and arsenic assay results, as well as the presence of favorable geological alterations. These attributes are critical identifiers for Carlin-style mineralizing systems, suggesting that they may lead to significant discoveries in future exploration activities. This new area, dubbed the Northern Target, lies more than 4 kilometers north of the existing mineral resource area and will be a focal point for upcoming exploration efforts.

In conclusion, with its proactive acquisition of the Bayan Springs North Project and the staking of additional claims, Sun Silver is enhancing its Maverick Silver Project's potential. The company is well on its way to solidifying its position in the mining landscape, leveraging its geological insights and exploration strategies to uncover new mineral riches.
